A piece of art

All of you have heard me say what an amazing family I have. I had to show you what Morgan recieved from her Aunt Tina today. Many of you may know that we lost my wonderful grandma 2 days before Morgan arrived. Prior to her illness my grandma so looked forward to making Morgan a quilt. Well, I was completely surprised when I open a box for Morgan and see the most beautiful quilt ever. My amazing aunt made this quilt and completed a task grandma wanted done. This is a gift Morgan and I will treasure forever.

Let the games begin!

Okay, so we are officially soccer parents. Riley had his first game Saturday and did a great job! He really got into it and loved all the activity. Keith and I looked at each other and both commented that we can't believe we have a 6 year old in soccer. All the sudden we are really feeling old! I had to take a photo of Riley hamming it up as always!

Lucky me.....

Okay, as many of you know I had to add more drama to our family. On Saturday morning I woke up with the flu, or so I thought. It was a MISERABLE day to say the least. At around 7:30 that night I realized we needed to in to the ER- no fun. All of you that know me know that when I say we need to go to the ER I am very sick. So in we went and I was pumped with fluids and given meds for nausea- no luck. So they did a test and lo and behold my appendix was a mess. So I had emergency surgery at 3am-no fun again! I am fine and I am out of the hospital. I know I scared some people and I'm sorry, but everything is ok. I'm just sore. I have to tell everyone how WONDERFUL my husband is and what an amazing man he is. He took care of everything and was just a huge blessing. Thank you also to my sisters and mom and dad (whom I did freak out). Mom is still here to help me (lots of restrictions) and I have the greatest family in the world. Okay, I know, enough of this. Have a good day!

At the Park

Okay, after a very long, cold and snowy winter we got to see a peak of spring yesterday. The weather was great (sunny and in the 60's) and we took full advatage of it. I took the kids out to Plymouth Park here in Midland and they had a ball. The park is full of things to do and keeps everyone, including mommy, busy. It was a great day but not without drama. As I was getting the kids rounded up to go I went to find Carter- no Carter. I looked all over the park for 10 minutes, still no Carter. By now everyone at the park was looking for Carter, Riley was starting to get frantic and I was trying to stay calm. It was VERY tense for all angles. After 20 MINUTES I was still looking for little man and just about ready to call the police as I looked back at the van again. This time I noticed the side door was open- strange considering I locked the door. I ran over and found Carter on the floor of the van reading a book. Yes, he is still alive but he did get a talking to! Thank the Lord everyone is safe and no one got hurt. God was truly with us. I included a few pictures of our excursion for your enjoyment!

We're back!

Okay, as you can see we have new photos! We had a wonderful time at mom and dad's and the kids did not want to come home. They all love the farm!!!!! I took the top 2 photos yesterday as the kids were creating. Morgan wants to be where her brothers are so I have to put her in her high chair while the boys play. It is going to be a busy household. The bottom photo is that of the boys at bounce land which is a giant facility with about 8 inflatable slides and climbing devices. They had a ball and I will tell you it was quite a thrill going down one of those things! You fly! I had to also show you Morgans thrill right now- baths! She splashes like a mad woman and has the best time. She likes the bath tub but she prefers the sink where she can ger nana soaked. It was so funny to watch her. The boys were laughing too. It was great to see everyone last week and we are so blessed to have such a wonderful family. Between staying the night at Papa Leeser's, going to the movies with Grandma and Grandpa Baker and celebrating Riley's 6th birthday at G.G.'s we had a WONDERFUL week. We love you all!
